Dedication in Question

I have walked the dog, I have walked to the pool several times, and I often walk to the neighbor's house several streets over. But, I must confess, I have not been running as I should. I know I need new shoes also, but I feel like I should have to earn them. Hmmmmm.... Things are hit and miss for me right now this summer. I feel like they will return to an even keel once I can get back into school. I looks like that could be as soon as Monday. That would put my son and I back on a regular schedule. Being kind of "homeless" when it comes to work makes it easy to stray from any kind of schedule. However, I am committed to getting my body fit enough, cardiovascularly speaking, to go out and run 3 miles.

That's probably the hardest part - actually getting out to run, that is. Do you have a neighbor or someone who might either run with you or watch your son while you go out running for 20 minutes every other day? Just an idea! It's always hard when Brooke comes back home from summer break with her mom - I feel like I spend all of my time worrying about whether or not she's doing the things she should...blah. I feel your pain. does your son listen to Hannah Montana?! That might help! Ha!

I found new running shoes made all the difference in my running comfort, which made me want to run more! I went to Bandanna, so I actually have a pair that fits like it should, and they talked to me about how a shoe should fit and feel. Turns out I was doing it all wrong for years!

Though I can't talk much, last night was my first run all week... but boy am I craving the carbs!!
